An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time, temporary Site Agent / Manager to join our civil engineering division.
NOTE: This position is for Shetland domiciled candidates only. No travel and accommodation will be provided with this role and mainland based candidates need not apply.
Job Overview
Reporting to the Site Manager, the job holder will look after the civil engineering division of the business.
Your Responsibilities and Duties will include:
- Procuring materials for works in advance of them starting
- Compiling quality and safety documents e.g.
- Method statements
- Risk assessments
- Managing site resources and planning ahead in advance
- Liaising with the client and stakeholders
- Carrying out regular quality checks of the works and ensuring the correct documentation is in place in line with specific Inspection and Test Plans
Ideally you will possess the following Qualifications and Attributes:
- Experience working in a civil engineering / building environment
- SMSTS & CSCS Managers Card
- NEBOSH desirable but not essential
- Experience with NEC Contracts
- Experience in site management and leading a team
- Strong IT skills
- Good verbal communication skills
- Ability to take instructions and work under minimal supervision
- Willingness to be flexible
- Be organised in prioritising workload effectively
- Be physically fit
- Full, valid Driving Licence
- Maintain good knowledge of health and safety policy and procedures at all times
